Interesting 1904 GB Postcard To USA With Retry Trip Cancel

I found this in my junk pile, a 1902 Inland postcard with a 1/2d stamp so it could be sent to Rochester USA I believe this is H&B CP43.

It has a London Cancel dated Aug 22, 1904.

There is a red "received" mark SEP 2 and what looks like a retry list dated Sep. 9 and what looks like two 9/2 and 9/3 marks which I assume is Sep 2 and 3.

I am unfamiliar with US marks so could use some help telling the story on this one.

All of the magenta and manuscript markings on the the front appear to be non-postal in origin, but rather applied by the receiving company.
