I have a question about a stamp that I have classified as SC#267, and in which I have noticed that it has a pink tone, so perhaps it could be a SC#267A...I already know that it is a used stamp and that the baths would affect the color, but I see it as too homogeneous and accompanied by a pink color on the back, so I would like to know your opinion...

How about either being 279B?
(As in, have you differentiated between types III and IV?)

I have seen the main characteristics and tried to differentiate types III and IV, the dot on the ear and the straight or curved T, but I am not really able to differentiate these details clearly... something yes in the second stamp (with restrictions due to be very novice) but the first stamp may already be too "burned" for my ability...if your opinion is 279b, this stamp is probably very bathed and the vermilion color is very dull for my eyes, although I do distinguish a change in tone (after yours answers I can no longer guarantee that it is pink...I am weak), since on the other hand it is not very reliable either (you already know...) hahaha..

the carmine issues from this time period (especially used) exhibit a wide color variance due to age, handling and atmospheric conditions.
I will again suggest that if you have access to a Scott specialized cat. you study it. that said the stampsmarter.org app on this site will also be a help.

The catalog is very good and stampsmarter too, thank you for that advice once again...Thank you also once again for pointing out that the stamp is old and used and could have changed its color.... but if I write in the forum, it is to be able to share and learn opinions from other collectors. What should I do to buy the catalog and leave the forum? With the catalog I already have a great oracle to resolve any questions?

What I want to say is that if you always get the same answer, asking is a useless exercise... I really appreciate the main advice I receive, about getting a specialized catalog and naturally I will get one...
I'm sorry if I expressed myself poorly in my previous posts.

I would also consider joining the APS or a local stamp group. as for the catalog you would do well with one a few years old, as long as pricing is not the major consideration.

Murasama, the close-up pictures are not in the main area of the stamp for telling types III and IV apart. Try showing the middle part of the left side of the Oval.
(For type IV, one of the shading lines extends a tiny bit into the white Oval area (opposite of "U" in "UNITED"). This is one of the main points mentioned in good sources like the Scott catalog.)
