Hello, I recently acquired the 1953 Queen Elizabeth Coronation Stamp Set. It's the classic 106 stamp set. They are all loose stamps. Does anyone know if there are pre-printed sheets available that I can mounts/place these on? Pre-printed sheets with country names etc. Thanks.
That sounds like the Crown Agencies omnibus set. There may be albums that were published around that time. Chances are, if you find such an album, it is offered with the stamps.
You, probably, are best off making your own pages.
I made a full set of pages for this series - all colonies included. You can download it for free from https://www.thestampweb.com/albums/free-downloads. Scroll way down to Topical. Thematic and Omnibus issues and select QE II Coronation Omnibus by Bob Bankhead. Includes some images. The frames were sized to accomodate Scott/Prinz mounts.
Hello, Thanks everyone for your replies. GeoffHa, that book is exactly what I'm looking for. However, I wish it came without stamps. It looks looks like the stamps are hinge mounted. Uboatnut, your designs are quite nice. If I don't find an album similar to what GeoffHa posted, without stamps, I'll print and use yours. Cheers!
Fast-bound books and mounts are a bad combination - lots of bulge! Bear in mind that albums from the early-1950s may well have foxing, toning and all the other goodies, especially in our damp climate.
