You're right about this! That laser "toner" will end up adhering to the plastic sheets.

I've been using thinner sheet protectors (I get a box of 500 from Amazon for $25--but it's maybe thick as 200 of the "regular" thickness ones), and they feel like they're more like cellophane than whatever the regular ones are made of (vinyl??). My ink printer recently passed on to sweet repose, and I made an album with my laser printer and slipped it into the thin page protectors. Won't know for several years how it'll end up, but I'm gonna get a new ink printer soon :-}
