Hello all, I'm new here and came across a stamp in my collection that I'm unsure if it's a Scott 64 or 65. I've read multiple threads on the shading but it can be a bit overwhelming. I believe it to be a 64 given it's Rose hue, however I would like some opinions before I send it out to certify. The smaller picture is an 1200 dpi color scan (i believe more accurate to the color) and the large is taking with iPhone.

Impossible to tell from your photos, good luck with the certificate.

I just happen to have scanned a few of these a little while ago and will add them to the discussion as the variety is quite challenging to say the least.

I doubt that you have a pink stamp on what little I know and the image you have posted, keep looking..

Generally, the 1861 pinks were used up by the spring of 1862, later uses than that are scarce. So, if your covers are dated beyond 1862 the chances of your stamps being #64 is extremely unlikely.
