Scott Specialized has listings for Guam. Included is a section for Guam Guard Mail postage, which was used "for the conveyance of mail between Agana and the other smaller towns." Yours appears to be M5 issued 8/21/1930.

In my 2022 U.S. edition, a short section for Guam begins on page 1127. It appears between
the Danish West Indies section and Hawai'i.

Here's what I have for Guam in the 2019 Classic Specialized Scott catalog. I do see the stamp under Philippines, but not with overprint

Stamps4Life,
I may have figured out the problem.
Jr.Ratfish and I are referring to the Scott U. S. Specialized catalog and I note you use the word "catalogs" plural. Are you referring to the multi-volume worldwide Scott catalog? Its listings for the U.S. in volume 1A indeed does *not* list the Guam military stamps with their abbreviated listings.

Or if you do have the "Specialized" catalog, then I would suggest you examine the listings more closely as these have been listed since at least 1935.

Add: Ok, I see we were typing at the same time ...
I NOW see you are using the Scott's 1840-1940 Classic Specialized Catalog, which is a worldwide caalog in 1 volume instead of the Specialized U.S.-only catalog of the same size. Bottom line lesson, please cite the exact title and year when asking a catalog question. It would have saved us some time in getting to where we are now.

Ok, thanks. I'll have a cup of coffee haha, and try again. The above pice are from the 2019 Specialized catalog. Guess I'm just overlooking them…. Appreciate it.

No, you are not overlooking them. You should acquire an actual Scott "U.S Specialized" catalog.

Sorry, if you dont mind - to confirm - I've located the listing, but double checking as im not familiar with these. In the 1930 intl album I pulled them from they were listed as " 3rd Issue" in pencil writing. But I only see 2 categories in black overprint, so im guessing there was a catalog change which now makes this one 2nd issue and the red overprint would be 3rd issue?

My catalog shows that the first issue (2 stamps similar to yours, only with smaller type) was 4/8/1930. The second issue (2 stamps of a new design) was 7/10/30. The third issue (2 stamps like yours) was 8/21/1930. There was a fourth issue (5 stamps like yours, only with a red overprint) that was issued on 12/29/30. "The local post office was discontinued 4/8/31, and replaced by the USPOD."
For Identifying stamps of US possessions and territories, the Specialized Catalog of US Stamps and Covers is a great help to me.

I see now - it was the 3rd issue , but different design. the 2nd issue was different from the other 3. I had missed that the 2nd issue was part of that series. Tks again!
