So both of these were listed as US Sc 641, but I think example B is Sc667. Yes??

I must have misread it - I saw Nos. 632-634, 635 - 642 Overprinted. So my A & B are both Sc 641, just different shades?

The perforation count identifies stamps of this design. #561 is perf 11, #590 is perf 10, and #641 is 11x10.5.

Thank you. These are both 11 x 10.5 so I guess they are both Sc 641. By the shade difference I thought they might be different issues. Guessing just a change in color based on environmental factors.

The rotary stamps do tend to be brighter shades than the flat plate stamps, but that is only a general guide, not an absolute.

Seems there's a color for every occasion! Thanks for that. So now im looking in the US Scott Specialized catalog for Stamps & Covers and see that. I do not remember seeing that many color listings in the ordinary catalog. How would one know when to check the Specialized & when not too? Or, should I just be using the Specialized??

Thank you.

I leave them alone. The problem with removing them is you may damage the stamp
