I am hoping to get help with a variety of things from pricing to errors. I bought a US stamp album several years ago and about 7 months ago started going through it and now love collecting and hope to soon to be selling.
About the time I started collecting I had done my ancestry (all of Great Britain and Germany) and started collecting stamps from those areas and with information past down from grandparents made it even more fascinating to me, I am mainly Scottish and would love to find more Scottish stamps, and I really enjoy collecting Germany and all the small states, Belgium and Germany are my biggest collections.
Have a great day!

Apart from thematic stamps and local carriage labels, there are regional issues for Scotland with plenty varieties.

or Scottish cancellations (e.g. Aberdeen)

I have all but the black penny and I have all the lion stamps with the queen, I find others occasionally but I think they are all being hoarded in Scotland

That is good if you have all the varieties. There are about 50 of the Wilding stamps and a couple dozen of the 'emblems.'
Cancels allow for albums full.

Lampy288,

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences.

My personal bias is a used stamp loses the story of its journey in the postal service when it is removed from the cover it transported to its destination. Collecting postal history adds a whole new aspect to your journey in our hobby.

Wishing you many enjoyable future days in our hobby. Russ
