You may want to check you scanner setting. Here are 3 I scanned at 600. It may make it easier to determine doubling. They were marked as R15c - but I haven't a clue as I just pulled them out....
Many thanks for the replies. I think I will keep the top stamp as a printing anomaly/possible double transfer. It has nIce centering but unfortunately some short perfs plus some paper abrasions on the back, with one that qualifies as a pinhole. Darn! JK
Back to the original stamp posted, is it 'under inked' or a 'dry print'? Or are these descriptions interchangeable in describing the same printing phenomenon?
