Hi DJCMHOH,
It appears that you have a typo in the folder name.

STAMP_ADDX_IMG (26.0 29.0 "AUSimgaes/AUSD7.png" "ASCS D1A" "1d" "SG D1" "Scott J1" "" "Michel P1IA")

In the screen shot the folder is called AUSimages. Hopefully that sorts it out :)

Please shout if you have any other AlbumEasy questions.
Clive

Clive, congratulations. You have 51 posts - you can now post a direct link to AlbumEasy.

That is great, Thanks for the reminder Peter.

But you will NOT be allowed to use the discussion forums for self promotion, if you want to answer specific questions about your software that people pose that's fine, but I will not let you just butt into topics that don't mention it and interject it. If you want to advertise, buy an ad. Header ads are only 30 bucks a month and come with one promo post every 7 days in the advertiser forum.

Bobby,
I am not sure what your beef is, AlbumEasy is completely free, I don't make a cent from it, it actually costs me money. I pay for web hosting and I put in hundreds of unpaid hours a year maintaining and supporting the software (and as anybody who has contacted me for support can attest, I provide better support than most commercial enterprise) - all as a service to others, nothing more.

Yet you have deleted almost every thread with a link to AlbumEasy, not just the posts but complete threads, even when the posts have been made by long standing forum members with well past the 50 post minimum.
Yet ironically though, you seem to have no problem for anyone to promote the Steiner album pages, despite it being a commercial operation.

Your forum, your rules - fair enough, but what makes you think that I would want to pay you $30 a month to promote a free service that can only be of benefit to your members and which already costs me money?

Me I am out of here, I have better things to do than waste any more time here, for some reason, and with no apparent logical cause, you have developed some sort of irrational grudge against me and/or my software. There are plenty of other forums for me to get my philatelic fix - I certainly don't need SCF and I most certainly wont be back. Feel free to delete my account I no longer need it.

Clive

PS I full expect you to delete this post, not that I particularly care as I won't be here to see it!

Clive you keep saying your stuff is free, but your site is commercial. I only have to look at the home page. In the first two paragraphs of the site alone there are 2 affiliate links to Amazon. Your Amazon affiliate ID is bundutechnoll-20. There is also an Amazon affiliate banner, a 1 & 1 hosting affiliate banner, and and Adsense ad.

So tell me Clive, what do I tell a paying advertiser here when they ask why you get to advertise for free and they have to pay? "Oh Clive is special and the rules don't apply to him." I don't think so.

Also, I, along with many others here, know you've been thrown off of other boards for doing exactly this, so the problem is you, not evil forum owners.

Actually my site is not commercial, yes I do have Google Adsense ads on it in a vain attempt to at least recoup my hosting costs, but given that hosting costs me $118 a year (not exactly a fortune I admit) and that it has taken approximately 18 months between receiving $100 payments from Google, I would not exactly call it a commercial success.

As for the Amazon and 1&1 affiliate links, they are failed experiments and the only reason they are still there is because I have not gotten around to removing them.
In the 12 years my site has been active, I have not received a single cent from either one.

Conversely, so far this month I have put in over 60 hours of effort getting the next version of AlbumEasy ready for release (hopefully later this week). I do it because I enjoy it, and for no other reason. I don't even have a donate button on my site and have never solicited for donations.

That is completely untrue, I have never been thrown off any board, perhaps you are confusing me with someone else.
The most that has ever happened to me was a one week suspension from the Australia based forum, which I deserved (but don't regret), for a rather crude response to a racist comment.
Clive

PDF generation error: Error (1043) while processing the image file C:/Users/Owner/Documents/AlbumEasy/Australia/AUSimages/NSWW2.png

Any idea what might be causing that? It's reading the file but something is not right. It is save png.

@Gene - good to see you activ. That's a clever idea for your 'lay-out-charts'. Now it's both good looking and informative. And by using the Varios you do not need hinges or mounts, or re-mounting if doing slight changes to the layout. Clever - but you'll need a big house

Error 1043 is an invalid parameter.

Hopefully Clive can tell you more as it relates to pdf generations under AlbumEasy. He's really great with customer support, and he never charges for it.

.Have you tried designing the page to fit YOUR stamps?

@michael - like you I did this for my digital (virtual) pages. Now that I'll actually print my pages and use them in real life I think I'll simply keep them plain, too much work to re-print and re-mount a page if one gets a stamp with selvage, a pair of similar. Besides, my intention is that the pages shall also be used by my brother (we will cooperate making them) and by anyone else that would like these kind of detailed pages, so can't be too custom / tailor made.

Btw, your pages are fabulous Michael, better looking than mine by far.

That particular error is generated by the library that I use for processing PNG image files. So there must be something about the file that it does not like. What program are you using to edit your PNG files, could you perhaps try loading the file into your graphics program and re-saving it.
Alternatively I would be happy to check the file out for you if you contact me via the form on my website I can send you my email address.
Regards,
Clive

@clivel - I've never used AlbumEasy, but still just wanted to let you know I'm impressed with the effort you have made and the tool you are offering for free. Additonally you're even offering free support. All off this is free while you have to pay for continuing this free contribution to stamp collectors that want to design their own personal and non-commercial pages. Well done you, you have my sincere admiration.

Blaamand space no problem for me, my "man loft" on the top floor of my house is 550 square feet/50 square meters in floor space.
