Quote: BeeSee, how you do that? I did the page in AutoCAD and the watermark images I scanned the actual reverse of the stamps and enhanced the watermarks with Paint Shop Pro. |

To rod222,
I read your post about using quadrille pages. I would be interested to know how you get quadrille pages and text at the same time, if that is what you do. Thanks for the input.

Yeah I thought of that to. I would hate to number all of my boxes then later have to redo them over. With the older revenue stamps it does not seem like it would be as much of a problem. With the US stamps I could see that being a problem. I buy pages already made up for them. Its the the revenue stamps that I have decided to do this with. I did not want to spend the money on a new set of albums just for the revenues. I figured make the pages as I get the stamps. If it gets to much of a task I will have to sweet talk the wife into a new album hehe. |

G'day Joel, I use plain quadrille, sort the stamps to hinge on my desk, then hinge to the page when sorted. All my text is pencil, hand written after hingeing. I have adopted the Richard Witt style "organised haphazard"? If I use (which I have on occaisions) typed text I just use paragraphs, and leave spaces between to mount the stamps. Not everybody's cup of tea text and information care of warrehouse. |

rod222 sounds simple enough. Is this all done on quadrille pages? Do you purchase the quadrille pages or make them up yourself? Joel |

Acid free A4 paper, Joel
template free from printaruler.com graph paper with 5mm grid Simple as that. My grid is very light, and just crossing the fingers it will not damage the stamps.

rod222, Thanks for all the information. This template works just fine and I appreciate your effort. www.iswsc.org/iswsc_page.shtml This is a link to a set of free album pages that I have been using for a while. Give it a try. Hopefully, you can access this page from this information. If not< I can try another way. Joel |

Thanks Joel, that worked fine. A tad heavy for mine, although I could employ those for my pre decimal mint Australian, when I use mounts.
Just be cognisant that my other pages I use and have shown may have issues, I don't like to give any suggestions that may harm your stamps. I am happy to take the risk with my own used and cinderellas, but other people that's another thing. I like my grid pages because they do not dominate, and the ink is extremely light. Cheers.

rod222, Thanks for your input and direction today. Yes, I believe that I want keep it simple and concentrate on stamps and cover collecting rather than albums. Some items should be mounted with a handwritten write up and others should have a typed written entry. And of course that is the collectors choice. It is nice to hear from someone who sees things in the same way. Joel |
