Is there significant difference between the 2006 and current understanding?
I received this suggestion,

"The notes on Dies look correct against the current catalogue but it looks to be a rather old version, much has changed with regard to the understanding of the first Die II printings. I would recommend purchasing the new SG Part

You have to give us a lot more context to help us understand your question.

There are lots of used SG Part 1's on ebay which won't be as pricey as a new one. Perhaps one in the late 2010's to 2023 will suffice for your purposes.

The SG part 1 is the 'Commonwealth' catalogue. If you need up to date information on line-engraved UK printings, you need the SG volume 1 part 1. There, only, was one edition of it.

But, as usual, OP does not tell 90% of the story. So, is he even talking about an SG catalogue?

Yes, volume 1 of the GB Specialised Catalogue. In 2020, this was split into two parts. Only part 1 has been published. It covers the line-engraved stamps and was completely revised. 'Part' is likely to refer to 'Part 1 of the Specialised Volume 1' and not to the Commonwealth Catalogue, also known as 'Part 1.'

NSK,
Would you look over a .PDF I started to put together? It's not finished and only for my personal use, but I'm interested in finding out where my understanding could improve.

The latest QV Part 1 of GB Specialised is a lovely book to have, let alone the wealth of information contained therein

I've kept my 2011 edition which covers all QV, pending Part 2 should it be released!
