I think I've seen this before, but I can't find the WMK in either Scott, Yvert or SG.
Thought I'd post it here and I'm hoping someone will be able to ID this one for me. THANKS, Ray

Wouldn't this be part of the border watermark? Looks like the "OU" you would expect in a reversed "New South Wales". However, I'm not an expert on that issue.

Edit: Oops. Topic was temporarily locked. Sorry about that. Unlocked now.

The full inscription is 'NEW SOUTH WALES POSTAGE'.

The Numeral is 410 Wolumla and always nice to see on any stamp other than a 1d or 2d

Thanks for all of the great responses-- appreciate your help!
So, if only WMK from the edge is visible, is there any way to identify the stamp, or do I assume it's a Scott 55 wmk/SG 40 wmk?

Ray

Hi Ray,

Please tell us the perforation gauge. That'll help narrow it down

Thanks Ray

The pictured stamp is SG233d. If the other is the same or similar shade it'll be SG233c. If it's bright green it'll be SG232b.
