It's been 6 years since I last posted here so I thought I should reintroduce myself.

I was formerly known as the slayer of the Greg Stolow ebay fraud monster. During that investigation and thereafter, I specialized in finding high quality and/or rare US classics on ebay, Euro auctions and other sites and offered some of them on my GeorgeK Stamps store on ebay. However, due to poor health from the process of becoming ancient, I now have over a thousand US classic stamps that I want to sell.

I need some expert help in valuing a few items which include:
- a used #356 single off cover with a certified first day of issue cancellation
- an international 90 year old cover with a #40 and other stamps, which is apparently only 1 of 2 known to exist
- an international cover with a #27, #34 and two other 10ct green stamps
- two broken "I" Specimen officials, one certed, which used to be listed in Scott's but no longer are, of which there are only 47 known of each.

I have no clue what to ask for them and will be posting pictures shortly.

Please post your scans and questions in a new post under the appropriate topic. You should get better replies in that location.

And welcome back.

Ouch! The de-listing or un cataloging of the Broken I's hurt! At least then I could stop hunting for an O10xS Broken I.

Geokstr - Welcome. For the rarer items such as the 356 used and 40 on cover you will find auction sales results at Siegel. Probably your best bet to get a sense of value and maybe the best place to sell them. Siegel has sold a cover with a used 40 and a number of used 356's (not first day cancel though).

Look forward to your separate topics.

Hi LittleRiverPhil:

It just so happens I have both an O10s broken I with a Weiss cert and an O35s that needs to be certed to distinguish it between a broken or a small i.

I, for one, would like to see both your O10s O10xS and the Bill Weiss cert, as I am curious to see what Bill numbered it. However, this forum is for introductions, and the following forum is for back of the book topics, Please make a new post there.
How do we go from knowing the position of the Broken I (Position 66) on the full sheet to "Ain't no such critter"?

Hi LRP: I will post that and many more in the near future. I can't locate my thumb drive right now and my scanner won't talk to my PC. PITA
