USPS 2026 Stamps. A Discussion!

MY HIGHLY BIASED 2-CENTS:

Bruce Lee is sorta neat, and I had to look it up... he WAS born in the USA! Not a fan of Ali... but it will probably be popular/

I'm a car-nut but don't like low-riders... I don't think of that as a very American thing... The Route 66 issue is nifty.

The various flower designs are pretty nice this time. Like the beach ones, too.

Eagles and Bison are NICE!!!

Chipmunks and squirrels... YAY!!! My favorite little backyard buddies!!

"Figures of Revolution"... important but don't like the design...

Everything else is uuuuugly... I hope there will be more 250th issues, and more engraved ones as well.

The USPS blurb about Ali neglected his greatest fight, a fight he won by unanimous decision:

Clay v. United States, 403 U.S. 698 (1971).

Does that actually surprise you?

I knew conscientious objectors during the Vietnam war period but Ali was unlike any I knew in how they lived. But I am not a fan of boxing in general.

The Colorado stamp looks really nice.

Not a bad lot. The Eagles and Bison stamps are attractive. Will probably buy some to use on snail mail and look for used copies...somewhere.

Like the 4 cent stamp and will complete the other low denomination stamps I have acquired. Also getting Year of the Horse to continue my goal to get one set of Chinese astrological stamps. Won't pursue the next series unless the desing and artwork are out of this world. This series is quite good although not spectacular.

Bison and Eagle stamps are well done and like they are based on drawings/paintings rather than photography. I enjoy good photography but tiring a little of the spate of photographed animals on stamps the past few years.

Finally, like the Harriet Powers folk art stamps. May get them but this year will reduce my buys of USPS stamps. I may wait till September to get stamps since the USPS has a habit of adding quite a few new issues usually Spring and Summer. Only ones I would get right away woill be again the PM and PME stamps plus Duck souvenir sheet and FDC.
