When did PhilPost start making album?

The 2014 pages I have are printed on heavy paper and included extra pages and spaces for varieties.

Wikipedia will tell you that the first stamp album was produced in 1862 by Justine Lallier, and was printed and distributed in England and France.

However, I was surprised to learn that PhilPost began making stamp albums as early as 1854, with the first stamps issued during the Spanish colonial period. The first distinct Philippine postage stamp was issued in 1872, and modern stamp albums began to be produced after the privatization of the postal structure in the Philippines.

I have learned a few additional details. PHLPOST (no letter I) was created in 1992, These pages were created by private parties under sanction from PHLPOST. Subsequent year pages no longer have the PHILPOST logo.

2016 pages (still in shrink wrap)

Wikipedia is not correct.

So am I. I cannot imagine it existed in 1854 (see also the previous post). Stamps were issued by Spain at that time.
