Just thought I would share a couple of images of some surviving Defense Savings Bonds stamp books that were among my (late) grandparents' possessions. I love the artistry of these.

One with $40 worth of $5 stamps! Then a sample 10c booklet and a nice pane of 25c stamps. I had to trim the scans a bit, but the booklets are complete. Anyone else interested in these?

That $5 booklet is outstanding! Thanks for sharing.

The pane would have been a decent item if it had the tab at left, but it doesn't. The savings stamp booklets are generally relatively common, but it is not typical to see the $5 ones mostly filled since those were usually redeemed.

It's a fun area. (I have a 10-frame large gold medal exhibit on the development of the postal savings system)
