Mexico produced some very beautiful square format stamps in the 1940s. Don't know who the designer was (they all seem to have the same signature), but they were very modern and artistic ala Diego Riviera.
Here are two which have globes.

The top commemorates the Iner-American Conference of 1945 held at Chapultepec, the bottom the United Nations.

jamesw - Here's some information about the designer of your Mexico stamps, courtesy of Wikipedia: "Francisco Eppens Helguera or Francisco Eppens (February 1, 1913-September 6, 1990) was a Mexican artist known for his paintings, murals and sculptures of images and scenes distinctly Mexican. He also achieved international fame for his award winning modern designs for Mexican postage and revenue stamps (1935–1953) and for his 1968 redesign of the Mexican coat of arms, still used today on Mexican government documents, coins and the national flag." A highly collectible artist, in my opinion. - nethryk
