Does anyone have information about this stamp? I only collect Canadian stamps. But this stamp was given to me by my father. I know absolutely nothing about it...except it's from Spain. Quite a nice looking stamp.

A member, laswabbie, has the set of those and has posted them a few times. Nice stamps. I like the selvedge design, very striking.

With apologies for the severe list to port...

Is it from the same set, or just using a very similar design?

Same set Stampgal!

Lithographed,
as all were up to that scarlet triangle issue

The 25c Scarlet was recess printed.

Colombus's men were crapping themselves, weeks into
the voyage and no sight of land, this must have been terrifying,
they had witnessed Pelicans and seabirds, and I think Tunny
which is a coastal swimming fish, but how their hopes must have
skyrocketed when they saw one afternoon a floating branch of a Dog Rose!

Land was sighted that evening
They struck sails, and waited till daybreak....

It's LaSwabbie's favorite stamp (or so it would seem by the number of times he has posted pictures of them). That is some beautiful selvage tho! Wow.
