China- Dream Of Red Mansion

Hi all

Off late I am bitten by China stamps and have been buying quite some china stamps now. I am mesmerised by 3 stamp sets in particular.

White haired girl
Dream of red mansion (see picture below)and
Huangshan yellow mountain set.





While the white haired girl and huangshan stamps are available as used stamps, Dream of red mansion is only available as a souvenir sheet. Its pretty costly for a amature stamp collector like me but I am somehow greatly attracted by the sheer beauty of these 3 stamp sets.

I wanted to see if anyone here knows more about these 3 stamp sets, dream of red mansions in particular. I want to know why is it that even though it being a much sought after stamp it is not available in used condition ???

I'm not an expert, but I would say that if it's not listed as used stamps, doesn't mean that used copies does not exist. I have this cover



with souvenir sheet (scott 1987 I think), which is also not listed as used and which was issued in 1987, but yet, in 1991 someone decided to put it on the envelope and mailed to US.

okay let me put it this way- I was asking why these stamps are so less in number (used ones) why is it that mostly MNH stamps are listed why not used ones (i am referring to dream of red mansion stamps alone not others)
