i was search through my cover and found these two cancels that I found interesting
the air air cancel was cancel from the us army
i did not notice it before

the second is for a city called flat river, mo
i do not think that this city exist now
i think it merged with two other cities

The first is a re-valued UC8, I don't know where post office 65 was located. Flat River is located a bout 50 miles south of St. Louis and is now Park Hills I believe.

There is a word that describes two areas merging
under a single postal area, but the name escapes me ?

this site just makes me notice more and more things about postage.
i would have never looked up flat river before.

A.P.O. 65 is probably somewhere in Germany at that point in time. Earlier locations were in France and Wales.
