So, last night I'm bored. I've read all the recent issues of Linn's, Scott Stamp Monthly, and my APS-GPS-ATA journals. so I go into StampWants and start digging around for German material.

I found two items that I can use (for a total of $.69), but with $1.40 postage I figured I needed to pick up a couple of other things from the same seller. An hour later I've bought 84 items (for a total ding of $10.88) and I didn't "need" a single one of them.

I fell for the same old routine - "It's only eight cents more and someone might want it for something at sometime in the future."

Shame on me! I'm starting to sound like Gussy!

Laswabbie, maybe we better join forces and start an "I Promise Never to Buy..." support group! We could email each other saying, "No! Don't press that 'BUY NOW' button! Be strong! You can do it!" Only thing is, we'd never see the email because we'd be too busy pressing that 'BUY NOW' button!

I'm having trouble resisting stampwants 40% off sale. There are some really good deals. As I go trolling through the listings, I add the good ones to my watchlist. Then I go through my watchlist to narrow it down to just a few of the very best deals. They are not "speed racers" in the shipping dept. though, but I have a stack of things to mount anyway.

I go into my first stamp store that was actually a barber shop that had a "stamps for sale" sign in front. The ole man said the stamps belonged to his son who was not in but I was free to look. So I found a set of 4 stamps I liked and were marked at $1.50 ea. The man charged me $6.00 Fair?
After making sure Triggersmob didn't already have them I went back the next day and the Son was in and told me they were $1.50 a SET not stamp. He was good and offered my money back and of course I bought stamps. Maybe triggersmob will post a pic of his.
