A rule of thumb I use as a starting place is $100.00 per frame line. Other considerations then go intoeffect, such as thins, cancel etc. Buying on cover is always a gamble if you can't get it into your handes and take a real close look at it.

well then I did well on the above, as there are 3 frame lines and the back is clean as a whistle.

Congratulations! The missing frame line does not intrude overmuch into the design, and all sides are nice straight cuts.

stampvirgin, I agree that you got a very good deal. I have been looking at a few of these lately and stamps not as good have gone for more. Congratulations on your purchase.

tom...

The two I have previously bought were returned...
One from Gary Posner.. who even refunded me all my costs of expertization.. they are good sellers.
the second from Apfelbaum, which turned out to be a fake blue cancel, cleaned pen cancel and multiple thins, all of which were never mentioned. I returned it to them and they refunded me the purchase price only then banned me from their sales.

When you are banned from Apfelbaum it is appropriate to send them a thank you card.

That #1 is a nice addition. I know you have been after one for quite some time. Glad you found a nice 3 margin copy.
