Ron is a good guy and I'm sure made you a good deal. I'm getting more and more interested in US classics which is a scary thought. |

I think this is a case where aesthetically, the stamp is more than the sum of its parts. Yes it has a thin, but a small one. The color is fresh, the contrasting handstamp is attractive yet doesn't obscure the face, and the margins are quite nice.
No one looking at your album will ever see the thin, and unless you're planning to sell within the next 3-5 years, you'll be fine.
This type of "clean" appearance is always in demand, no matter the technical faults. |

I've been enjoying reading this thread and the opinions about how much does a thin detract, what's a fair price etc. etc. Thanks, guys! |

Needless to say that I didn't have a copy prior to the sale. Just to be clear, I bought the stamp for a couple of important reasons.
First and foremost was the feedback you gave about the stamp, both good and bad. Second, Does a small thin really matter that much to me. Third, price.
A thin does matter to me but its not a deal killer. The overall positive opinion of others in this community and the affordable price from the dealer was the decision maker. |

It came and I'm very pleased with it. It looks better than the scan did. George met up with his old friend Ben, they are getting reacquainted and having a party. |

Art! I am glad you have received the Sc#2. I hope he and Ben are shaking hands and having a good time reminiscing. I also enjoyed the post about my #113, I just wished someone would have bought it. HA HA HA In closing I need to say that I will be closing my ebay store for the next few weeks. When I reopen it, it will in an all new format and lost of new stuff to drool over. All the best Ron |

Ron,
I'm looking for a R99c, R131, C13 - C15. Keeping in mind that I already blew my budget this month! However, if the price is right....

Art As it turns out I have two leads on the c13-15 set, actually one set used and one mint ogh. But the $100.00 difference in price is not offset by the SCV. So I am opting to grab the Mint ogh. With luck I will pick them up for $700.00 to 750.00. Have another C13 mint ogh with f-v/f center I make you a deal on if I get the others. I will keep you posted. As far as the 99r goes I haven't seen any around lately the I would waist my time with. For some reason most think that issue is gold plated. The Best Ron |
