Our government said no GST tax. First thing they did was to introduce a 10% GST tax after they won the election. Had a friend that was apart of this and he walked away from a life's work. They were laughing at how easy it was to fool and control the voters.

Climate in Canada would be very hard on your mailing system and it is good to hear that all Canadians are treated the same way.

How does the mail person stop being a snack pack for those big white things with fur, teeth and claws?

Speaking of tax, we have a strange situation in Australia. You may notice that the stamps posted above a labeled "International", that's because G.S.T. (Goods and Services Tax) applies to domestic postage, but not to international postage. As a result, different stamps must be used for the two purposes. When purchasing stamps in Oz., therefore, you must make it clear whether you require domestic stamps, with G.S.T. included, or international stamps, on which G.S.T. is not paid.

International stamps cannot be used on domestic mail. On the other hand, domestic stamps can be used on international mail, but only if you put on 10% extra (to cover the fact that 9.09% of the money paid for the stamps will not go to the Post Office, but will have to be given to the government as tax).

Actually, Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony is my favourite classical piece.

Mine too...but every time I hear it I cannot help visualizing the end of the movie "Soylent green"...

That scene at the end of Soylent Green was the best part of
the movie.
It was also Edward G Robinson's last role.
You could say he went out with a bang.
