Very nice cancel. Is "Aer Lingus" is from the Gaelic? And what does it mean?

According to online translations and explanations, its an anglicised spelling from the Gaelic "Aer Loingeas", Loingeas means fleet., so "Air Fleet".

Not me, Gerry, it was Google! But I wanted to find out as I have a little Scottish Gaelic so Irish is of interest to me too.

Yes, I'm with you, a lovely cancel.
a nice piece overall.
As more and more stamps get soaked off piece
this will become scarce and rare.

(Sorry, But not in your lifetime :)
