Looking at some items in my collection, I came across this stamp with what I believe to be a plate guide line and part of the next stamp on the right that was separated by using a pair of scissors. What I don't know is the additional lines on both sides of the bottom. Is this just a case of the plate not burnished properly? The stamp in question is still on cover.

I wonder if this is the partial double frame lines as described for the 26? Hell, I'm not sure what I've got.

Its am now and I can see clearly now...

The partial double frame line is only on the left. On the right it is the partial double frame line of the next stamp.

26 or 26a? Someone will have to plate it to be sure. The outer frame lines don't go into the next stamp so I think it may be a 26a. On the 26, the verticle frame lines are not broken between the stamps. But, this could also be from the bottom row, making it a 26.

Art, Yes it is a guideline on the right. I believe it is a 26 with a partial double frameline.

Look very closely at the bottom right hand side...I think it's a frame line to another stamp. Didn't they perforate these on imperforate die subjects? I can't say I have ever seen a guide line on this stamp HOWEVER an expert I am not so that's my take.
