Malaya Johor 1949 $1 Stamp Variety In Colour?help Me Please

hello again,i noticed my 1949 malaya johore $1 stamp slightly variety in colour.this stamp has only one colour which is purple&blue printed on all the malaya $1 stamps series within the year of 1949-1955 but I think my stamp colour more like a red-magenta or red purple&blue colour(only the outer oval flame colour is difference,inner colour still the same compare with a normal stamp on second photo).any colour variety possible?please help me to identify it.sorry about the condition.please see the stamps carefully on the photos below and let me know what you think.thank you

Welcome to the shade varieties of the KGVI-reign. Which catalogue are you using?

The $1 Johore is listed in three colours in the King George VI Commonwealth Catalogue. Shades, really, for different printings. Here they are:

1. ultramarine & deep red-purple
2. blue and red-purple
3. pale blue and purple.

I suggest that yours is no. 3, but you must get several copies together and put them under a broad-spectrum light, and compare them. Keep in mind that used stamps that have been soaked off, in water, and exposure to light can change the colours... so it is not an exact science.
