Actually in most cases the proofs are cheaper than mint singles. I've thought about doing a set of the revenue proofs, but I've never bothered to start on them.

That's one reason I like them.

They're both #400's correct? Yes, I could use one. I really need a #404 to finish off the set too.

Here is a vario page that I intermingled the proofs in with the rest. It doesn't look too bad. I still have a few more to put in but I just wanted to share that. Thank you.

That's a nicely centred 116 ILS. That series is a challenge, in many repects.

It is indeed James with out a doubt! At the moment I have my sights on a 118 right now and hopefully if stays below $300. (I doubt it will though because the centering is wonderful) I might take it home. They are bountiful on auction sites but the prices are all over- anywhere from OK to astronomical! I'll get that set finished if it's the death of me!

ILS, I was looking at the two proofs you bought from langs..
Honestly they aren't nearly as nice as what you have had before. They are dirty and not square. I would check them carefully when you get them.

I have doubles of the #71 and I only bought it because the #63 I needed and I got it for a pittance so I really can't complain.

Thank you t360.

OK, some of you may cringe here but just know that I plan on never parting with my stuff. OK, I bought that #71P4 and #63P4 at a very low cost. The #71 is the second one I have and the "good one" resides in my binder (pictured above). When I got them they was all filthy and tattered so I decided I could "help" them. A quick noninvasive dip in fresh water and pressed flat all night and they brightened right up! The #63 was peeling in the lower left corner and way uneven so with a straight edge, a steady hand and a scalpel I straightened it up a bit as well as trimmed off the bad corner. It looks (to me) much more presentable.

Edited: Wrong labels. Changed from P3 to P4 & added quote
