This is a first for me. You keep looking at them, then look again, and then even when you look again you find something new. Who put this Pioneer Jupiter Satellite stamp on the Apollo-Soyuz FDC. The stamp is tied to the cover with the cancellation and the FDC clearly states that it should have a pair of stamps on it for the Apollo Soyuz. Maybe this is the only error out of billions. Maybe I am rich now. Maybe I can go on vacation now. Anybody have more examples of this type of thing? or comments? - Jeff

Not an "error"; merely a curiosity. As the Pioneer Jupiter Stamp was issued BEFORE the Apollo Soyuz stamps, someone merely affixed the earlier stamp to an Apollo Soyuz cacheted cover. As long as the stamp paid the proper postage rate, which it did at the time (10c in this case), the post office could care less what stamp was used when the postmark was applied.

wt1 that is not what I wanted to hear. I dont know how you can expect me to retire on items that are "merely a curiosity". The next time I post something like this be sure of your response or you will run the risk of becoming wt2 ( thanks for looking - Jeff)

Here's a 'curiosity'.

Someone put a First Day Xmas issue/postmarked with the first day postmark on the previous years Vintage cover........must be a one off and therefore extremely valuable. LOL

I like how they crossed out the Vintage Car info and replaced it with the Xmas Stamps info. That makes it all ok!
