Would love to vote, but maybe you could add "other" with a field to describe the "other"?

I use a US Hagner Hingeless album, which isn't in print anymore.
The pages are like a Hagner stock sheet, with the plastic covering the entire row, and the picture or description of the stamp below.

The top section on this page are the "August" or First Issues of the 1861, once Scott 55-62B (now all categorized as Essays-- the 56 in the picture is now 65E-15h), no spaces unfortunately for the minor varieties, so I place in the sides, stamps like 64b, 70a, 70b. I don't have a 66 (it's now a Trial Color Proof 66TC), but the stamp in the place of the 66 (Lake) is a Card Proof 66P4, and I don't have a mint 65, but I've got a pretty nice looking 65S (Specimen), in that spot.

The album was purchased in about 1990 or 91, 2 volumes was something like $149 or $1.79-- either way a great price for a hingeless album. Before this, I used a Scott Minuteman, and for Revenues I use a Scott Specialty album, with homemade Vario sheets for the 1st issue "silks" and "ultras". For Match & Medicine, I use Michael Aldrich's pages.

Ray

Yeah an "other" option would be nice because I don't have money at the moment to get a nice worth while album I am using the H.E.Harris Patriot album.

I'll admit to, so far, being the only rebel to make his own pages. I do so for both my USA and Canadian collections.
I've got these small accounting binders I got from my Dad when I was a kid, and I love 'em. They are half size, a page is a half an 8/5" X 11" sheet, so I get twice as much out of my paper. The down sides are less space, so some issues, like the Columbians shown here have to be on two pages. It's also more work punching holes etc, and sometimes the stamps don't line up perfectly, which disturbs my organizational tendencies.
But I like the clean look, using clear mounts. Also, as shown with the Newfoundland page, it allows me flexibility and the ability to add useful information, such as with this error.
See what you think.

I just wish he'd brought home more of those binders.

You are missing the following albums:

Scott Platinum (out of production)
Scott National Hingeless (out of production)
Minkus Album (out of production)
Schaubek National Hingeless (in production)
Kabe Hingeless (in production)
Lindner Hingeless (in production)

I currently use Scott Platinum albums (through the end of volume 2 in 1934) and Davo hingeless albums for everything after that - at least until I can find volumes 3, 4, and 5 of the Platinum albums.

Looks like Mystic Heirloom is in the lead. I have an Heirloom also. For others, is it the price point that's appealing, or something else?

Does Scott still make supplements for their discontinued albums?

I'm surprised that the Minuteman got no votes. While I'm making my own pages now since I focused my collection to regular issues, I still maintain a Minuteman for the commemorative filler.

I'm shocked no one is using stampalbums.com for their US collection.

I haven't personally checked for National Hingeless pages, but have seen listings for them on ebay up through at least the late 90s. I have sought information on when it was discontinued, but to no avail.

Scott was publishing updates for the Platinum albums as recently as 2 years ago, but I haven't checked since then as I don't collect anything after the year 2000. The Schaubek National album is the successor to the Platinum album. As popular as these albums are, I'm surprised there aren't others who use them ...

The survey is a bit misleading, as I just bought a Mystic Heirloom (haven't transferred stamps into it yet) but I also have a US Liberty (had since the 1970's) and a White Ace Album for Plate Blocks (gifted to me).

I feel (and perhaps others will agree with me) that except for the early classics, US stamps don't command that much of a value that it pays to buy an expensive album to store the stamps in. The Mystic Heirloom works just fine at a reasonable price. Besides, I would venture to guess (no offense) that most of us stamp collectors (myself included) are "cheap" when it comes to supplies (i.e. we re-use stock books and glassine envelopes and even old albums) but when it comes to spending money on new material, we'd rather spend it on our stamps than on the albums to put it in.

That's why I stopped buying White Ace. Gorgeous albums, but I couldn't justify the price any more.
