Tried the Rakium Stamp Analyzer app. Garbage and a waste of $30.

Very limited and after several good photographs, it still failed to come anywhere close to the VF grade the stamp actually is. Best it got was Good - Fine. Did worse with the scan.

Perhaps the desktop software version is better, but don't bother with the app.

Seeking a refund.

I recall a time when collectors (and dealers!) would go through giant stock books of general US material at bourses looking for well-centered copies to send in for slabbing. Does this still happen?

A well centered 209, with a tiny tear on left.

Thanks for the Ident, guys. I corrected it above. I had the 102 card marked wrong.

Scott numbers 10 and 11 are difficult to find with cuts clear of the design on all four sides. Finding one with four wide and balanced margins is very difficult. Here is one of my best; plate position 5L7:

CC: not only nice margins, but favorable cancel

Shermae: few ever sent stamps in for slabbing, it was mostly just grading - it still happens, but rarely anymore for more modern stamps

Yes. Now I see it. It is rather indistinct, but it is present. So I concede that the stamp appears to be a #214. Dang! I was prepared to make you a handsome offer otherwise.

Modul8ted - I've had excellent results from the analyzer, but then I'm working on a desktop with excellent hi-res straight scans with proper levels - almost impossible to get out of a phone or camera.
