I bought a coil of the 24/7 flag stamps. These are for everyday postage but of course I will have to take a few singles and connected stamps. My question is this there are only four stamps in this series. Where would be the proper position for the plate number?

The second question would just four stamps be correct for this coil series?

I know when it comes down to it what looks best for me will work but at the same time I want to know if there is any proper etiquette.

Hello Mk....

There are actually five face different stamps in your coil. A strip of five with the PNC in the middle would be my choice.

I just pulled out the coil and I can't find 5. What am I missing? There is the flag with dark blue USA 42 then three with white USA 42 then the fifth is the same one with the dark blue 42. I searched the whole roll but it could be so simple that I am just missing see that other stamp.

Tom here is the link to the stamps I'm talking about. I'm going crazy looking for a fifth stamp.

Don't go crazy !
There is no fifth stamp. The set consists of 4 stamps showing the Flag at 4 different times of the day and night.

There are water-activated coils, plate number every 12, and then there are Self-Adhesive coils.
APU...Plate No. every 16
AVR...plate No. every 8 [3,000 and 10,000]
AVR...Plate No. every 20 [100]
SSP...Palte No. every 16.

Hope this helps.

Londonbus1.....Tries to help sometimes, but most often needs it !

Maybe what Tom was talking about was this....You can have 5 different stamps in your strip if you include the PNC as being a different stamp [I would]. But the PNC would be at the end of the coil and not in the middle !!

Londonbus1.....Help can be so confusing
