Ok I know it is someplace but I can not find my color chip board. So I am using a quick reference Wonder guide. Can anyone help. I have posted the stamp with quick guide because I know different scanners, monitors, etc. change the colors so maybe the guide next to it will help. I am stuck until I find my color chips and I am not about to go and have to purchase them again. Anyways they have no grills so that leaves Scott #64 (66 trial color) (74 trial color) 65 I think I am leaning more towards the lake/rose lake. What do you all think?
An interesting thing to try and do on the Internet. There are actually 4 choices. It could be the 64 (pink), 64a (pigeon blood pink), 64b (rose pink) or the 65 (rose). There are around 100,000 each for all three shades of the 64. The pigeon blood pink being the rarest. They all perf at 12 so that isn't much help.
The 65 is (rose) with about 1.8 Billion stamps. There was a reissue 104 however I don't know much about that stamp.
OK this morning I found my color chip book. It only took about 20 minutes to properly identify the stamps. Amazing how easy it is with the proper tools. I definitely would recommend for someone to use actual printers color chips than photocopy cards. Anyways the unused stamp is a Scott #64b-rose pink and the used stamp is a #65-dull red. The used one was found in the 3 pound monster, must have fallen in or thrown in for spice. Either way nice little find,(the unused one had been sitting on my desk for some time was with a collection purchase about ten years ago, finally found a home for it)
