OK. I'm helping a friend to price out some Washington/Franklins. These caught my eye because of the color, the Schermack perforation, and that they were labeled as Scott 482 and 482A. Not being too hopeful, I thought I'd let the SC Family put in their opinions. The color on the right is definitely darker than a standard Carmine. I'll post some other examples from the collection later.

And that is exactly why I ask these questions on this site. Does it appear that the perforations are fake, or what style are those?

The perfs are Schermack Type 3, look ok to me.
