Hello everyone, my family and I have inherited quite a large collection of stamps. I'm looking forward learning a lot going through this forum as I have very limited knowledge on stamps. For now, I wanted to show a plate block and get some feedback/education on it. Thanks!

Very good looking piece - alas, one of the more common plate numbers for SC300.

In the 2013 Scott Catalog, the plate block is $225 mint hinged, $350 mint unhinged. There's a lot of if's, and's, and but's to lock in a reasonable retail value. First of all, it belongs in a protective envelope, i.e., "glassine" envelope made especially for stamps.

edit/ Another MUST-have, a pair of stamp tongs so you're not handling the stamps with your fingers.

Searching ebay for completed sales over the past 90 days... two were sold, one for 91 US$ and one for 104 US$.
You can assume this is the "fair market price" but condition can materially affect prices.
Its complicated - the real world answer is not in a published guide.
