Especially among US meter collectors this is considered to be one of the most attractive meter indicias ever made. |

Here's an example in my collection from around the same period: Note that the above example varies from the previous one posted in that the text "P.B. METER" and "AMOUNT PAID" is in a smaller typeface, which would probably define it as a F4A variety. However, in both posted examples, the denomination is not in keeping with what the catalog suggests, since there is no decimal point after the first zero (and no ":" after the denomination, which enabled the meter to print fractional postage). |

The collectible Meter tapes are on cover. Off cover they bring a fraction of the value compared to on cover. Here is one on cover with a slogan |

Nice one Stallzer. Slogans on these are scarce. The catalog does not give a value to these on or off cover at this time, but I agree that on-cover tapes and impressions are more desirable.
Edit for Wt1 - While the images in the catalog do not include your value type (indicated by VF in the catalog), that value type is listed in the catalog. |

Agreed, the on-cover slogan tape is unusual. I once worked for a company with the ability to print meter tapes with slogans and were instructed NOT to use them. Only if they were directly imprinted onto an envelope were they allowed. Apparently the outrageous cost of the meter tape far exceeded any advertising benefit to use the slogans. |

Actually they do list values for the meters. Most of the F3 / F4 & F4B state "Meter numbers: 90059, 90060, 60061, 90062 MeterCat 5 spaces.jpg[$15 on loose tape. Extremely rare on cover, value uncertain]" Just an example. Unfortunately the meter on my cover is not listed in the catalog. |

That is a fascinating insight. I have considered going through my collection and examining meter tape types. It would be a real challenge to create images of them, though. Nowadays, the meter tape looks more like your standard office label, and are rarely seen. |

Stallzer - Those values are only for meters that have "PO" where the "No." is. Meters of these types were meter machines installed in post offices. They are quite scarce for all meter types. |
