Tried the order number for a single a few days ago ... no luck. You may have to order singles by phone from SFS. |

I assumed one can still go through the mail order form for singles, if it's still in next quarters issue. I find it ashame that you can't get singles online, I order them this way for mail use when I need one to fit within my budget. If they nickle and dime in this manner, they're just going to sell less to folks like myself. I did make the exception this time to order a block of 4 as I know I need 2 right now, in addition to one for the album, but this is an unusual situation for me. |

Linn's Stamp News has revealed the image of the upcoming Harvey Milk Stamp slated for issue on May 22, 2014 in yet-to-be-confirmed locations (although Washington and San Francisco seem likely): http://linns.com/news/breaking-stam...ign-revealedNot exactly the most attractive stamp design I've seen lately, but the USPS can't please everyone, I suppose. |

Meh, I'm not a big fan of the USPS's trend of issuing black & white stamps. More than that, though, I'm disappointed that it "includes the pride flag colors as six different color squares stacked vertically in the upper left corner". I would have liked to have seen the colors featured more prominently. |

The "Where Dreams Blossom" stamp of 2013 is being reprinted with a first day of issue ceremony slated for May 2, 2014 at the Northeast Federation of Stamp Clubs' Philatelic Show in Boxborough, MA. The stamp is said to be identical to last years' version except for the location and date of the stamp that will now read "2014". http://linns.com/news/us-stamps/339...ay-2-at-show |

I assume the 2014 date on the "Where Dreams Blossom" stamp will be placed at the bottom left corner and run horizontally ... similar to the date on the Flag for All Seasons that was issued in March. |

Correct. All 2014 dates are located in the same place as all other stamps issued this year.
The only exception was the 4c Chippendale Coil stamp that was dated 2013 but was issued a couple of days into 2014 (which I understand was only due to a date of issue conflict, as the stamp was originally intended to be issued in December 2013). |

Quote: The "Where Dreams Blossom" stamp of 2013 is being reprinted with a first day of issue ceremony slated for May 2, 2014 at the Northeast Federation of Stamp Clubs' Philatelic Show in Boxborough, MA. This did not come as a surprise, since its companion stamp "Yes I Do" has already been reissued. However, I am surprised that press sheets with no die cuts for these two stamps have not been announced. |

I could be wrong, but nobody on this board has so far shown any interest in the upcoming global forever stamp. The press sheets of this stamp are already up on the USPS website.
I find all the round stamps in this series quite interesting, but have yet to see any on cover. Will this be a long-running series? |

The theory (as I understand it) is that all "Global Forever" stamps will be round (i.e. global = round) to differentiate the stamp from a traditional first class mail "Forever" stamp because of the different rates involved.
Of course, that doesn't prevent the USPS from using another shape or size for the stamps in the future, but the idea was to avoid confusion on the consumer level.
I haven't seen any legitimately used Global Forever stamps on cover either, but then I don't send international mail and remember that unless it's philatelic mail, they would not generally be used on domestic covers, so most on the receiving end of those stamps would be folks in other countries. |
