Wow, in the past month or two the number of registered members from outside Canada and the U.S. is really growing...what an opportunity for people to find a match and exchange stamps..for myself I would need an intermediate to advanced worldwide collector...i think Mac and I would probably be able to xchange..probably no shortage of people here who could provide mint or used stamps of Canada and the U.S.

The better part of this growth is that we are getting good people. By good I mean people that bring good attitudes with them.

Now for MAC he is like my parents the man has everything, though I am searching to help in fill out his list. It looks thought like I will have to work a little harder.

Are you & Mac dealers or has the hobby grown so much for the both of you that you both could open up your own little dealership?

I like the growth it has been good.

MK, I guess my hobby started out as a collector but as years went on somehow I became part accumulator. I really thought about part time as a dealer but did not think some of the hassles were worth it. Right now I am content to give others great deals and trades to give them a chance at the hobby as some have done for me.
Phil we may need to compare notes on South and Central America in the next week or two as interests have peaked in this area. I may now have some help for your area. My main love is still US but at a certain point you reach purchasing 3 or four stamps a year when your collection becomes more complete. I really like some of the older engravings of Central/ South America.

Hi Mac, you is an accumulator like myself..i have friends that complete countries one at a time..myself I got into buying cartons of stamps..sometimes I am envious of my friends with their completness while I am a hodge podge guy..when I was working I dreamed of being a dealer..but the work is back breaking..you have to be able to buy collections..break them down...find a customer for the stamps...so I enjoy long term trading partners..if I trade a duplicate for a stamp I need I am getting something back...Mac, yes the early Central and South American stamps printed by European and American companies are beautiful..i have a stock book of Guatemala scott 118 my favorite blue and orange stamp..i will buy as many as I see..i guess its my favorite !!

Phil:

I'll come down with a couple of hundred (American) dollars and root through your stock/accumulation. I'll bring Buchanan Bob of many G's along as an advocate and barterman. After we leave, you can then hang your shingle up "Red Hook Philatelics -- Fine Foreign Stamps From Around The Globe"

I am super pleased to see the international members - especilly those from Germany (for obvious selfish reasons).

Welcome to all of you. Please tell your friends to join up. English is a low priority with us. Pictures are a high priority!
