I picked up a rather poor group of stamps recently and was going through the album looking for any hidden gems... didn't find much. I then realized that it appears the album is a first edition album from 1921. The inside page suggests it is from New York Scott Stamp & Coin Company 33 West 44th Street. In the fine print below it states "Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1921, by Scott Stamp & Coin Co. LTD in the office of the Librarian of Congress, at Washington" Assume this mean first edition. Anyone know more about these albums? Collectible I assume?

Just saw two of these 1921 albums on ebay. One had 4,100 stamps and did not sell at $15,550. The other maybe around a couple thousand stamps and sold for $52. I have also seen other 1921 Jr albums in the $40-$100 range. Seems to be all about the stamps and not the album in this case.

Bob Skinner, of "Filling Spaces" blog fame has information on the Scott International Junior's development.

It appears the first edition of the "Junior" was 1914.

Thanks... again very helpful. I was guessing the 1921 was a first edition because there were no other copyright dates as you so often see in other publications. Appreciate the help.
