Listen to this.....
Just checked my feedback @ ebay....

Quote:
not one time did your ad mention a single stamp.i expected 4.i am returning this

Thats what it said....
I am incorrect for not stating it was for a single stamp?
The single stamp is shown and a arrow is pointed to it
on the certificate....
The catalog value stated is for 1 item, not a BLK4....
Really???

The arrow is real small and if you hadn't said it I would have missed it too. You ad did not indicate a single stamp, the cert is what people will see. I agree with the purchaser that the description was not complete enough.

I agree with Art. You can't presume that potential buyers even have a catalog, or a recent catalog or even Scott's. You do really have to spell things out on ebay.

yes

especially when not everything in the pic is included, some type of description of what is included is required

I have learned that you really have to spell everything out on ebay item descriptions and even then a lot of folks don't read the item descriptions.

Kevin, yes, I have to agree with the consensus. You made a good visual attempt to show one stamp only, but it would have been better to spell it out, and have a larger arrow. (Note: You are bidding on the one stamp shown only!) Very nice stamp, by-the-way.

Same here, I clicked the link before even reading the post and assumed it was the block, sorry :( You really have to make an effort to avoid any confusion, even if it seems obvious to you as a seller. Good luck in your future sales!

As a fairly active ebay buyer, that is one small pet peeve of mine..stamp sellers often only put a picture in the description, even though your pictures are very nice. But after 20k transactions I thought you would have heard it all.

I concur with the others. The arrow is totally lost in the transaction/description. Listing would have been better by stating Bidding for one stamp - the "top right corner" or whatever it is ...

A picture like you have done of the certificate with a red circle drawn around the stamp being sold helps better than changing your way of describing things. Use Paint from Windows or free GIMP.

A block of 4 catalogs more than that.
The title does not state blk 4....

Plus...he/she mad a offer less than the asking which was
accepted.
Oh well...I believe Im right.
I did tell to return for a refund....gladly.
I do strive for 100% satisfaction....

Also, it should be brought to your attention that Scott #120 that you have listed has a pretty big tear on the right side. It's also not described in the listing..That may cause you some grief in the future as well.

I_Love_Stamps@ I agree from a buyer point of view it is miss leading and Seller must use appropriate descriptions to avoid miss understanding and return of the items.

I am regular buyer from "sheetguy2" and if he reads this topic please do what ever necessary to avoid conflicts. Happy buyer will tell 3 more guys about good but unhappy buyer will tell 10 more guys about bad experience.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone here.

It's in the description, but it almost gets lost as part of the 'fine print'. I would suggest moving the description above the photo.

The problem is that as a seller it's time consuming to scan, download and describe bunches of stamps. That's why in general we see more and more ebay auctions with just a title and photo.

EDIT: the #120, not the Franklin. That one slipped in there while I was posting. :)

I have been caught off guard on a wrong seller description this year twice.
It makes me angry on my self and seller.
