Hi, I am wondering what the number BF0339 means? The number is listed in a Stamporama auction along with U.S. Sc #1684.

Peter that is where I saw it too was on Stamporama. I didn't want to ask there on Stamporama because I didn't want to appear Ignorantama. That person is not the only one to use the BF numbers but there aren't many that use those numbers.

Maybe it's Bottom Fish's private stock number. I'll check it out a little further tomorrow. Thanks everybody. I will also pay closer attention to see if he is the only one using the BF numbers. I'll let everybody know as soon as I find out.

Yes I just checked and it looks like only Bottom Fish uses those numbers so it must be his own private Inventory numbering system. Thanks again everybody. It looks like we solved the mystery.
