By accident I came across this. As you can see, it is Queen Elisabeth II from 1990.
The strange thing is, that the value inscription (1st) is in black.
I am pretty sure, that it's not ink from the ram. Can anyone help me ?
Is it well known ?
Thank You.

You need to upload a better image, MusikChris. The image is far too small to see much. It would be most unusual ...if not impossible... for a Machin of that type to have a black value.

I don't see any denomination on it other that the Queen's profile? I know that there are forgeries of these but I don't really know much more than that. I'm not a world wide collector. Sorry. I'd be interested to find out however!

Hi MusikChris,

Isn't it just the "PM" in the black postmark landing on top of the "1st" denomination?

Thank you for quick answers :)
I'll try to post a better image, but the problem is that I don't know if it IS better.
It look all right here.
I'm sure it's not just the PM. When you enlarge it, it is clear that the black "1st" is in
in a different level than the PM.

I'm sure you could double the size of your scan and post it. It looks a genuine stamp... a Machin elliptical perforated 15 x 14 but a closer (yet) look of the stamp alone might tell the story. Meantime nigelc seems to have the best idea.

I can see traces of white under the black and orange [run].
It looks quite normal to me.

Take a scan of the area where the value should be and dispel all doubt.

I'm afraid I am not very keen at scanning. I have tried to do a larger image, but it seems impossible since the maximum size is 100 kb.
Londonbus1: Now that you say this, I can see white traces as well. What does that imply in your opinion ?

This image is also under 100kb so you can see what is required of a single stamp.
