I just watched CSI NY Episode 14

http://www.cbs.com/primetime/csi_ny...es&play=true

Just want to share this episode considering that the CSIs (crime scene investogators) there used and traced DNA from USA Flag Stamps used in a letter...thus eventually leading to a break which solved the case. Anyway, at first, I thought that the series was inaccurate as I was under the impression that the US Flag Stamps were in a self-adhesive sticker so I wondered how they got DNA from the stamps when the stamp would not have been licked. So this got me curious and I made some research and I found out that these US Flag stamps aside from those in stocker form did come in water-activated coils so the series was correct.

Just an interesting episode to watch considering how a stamp solved the day in this series

John - you might like Lawrence Block. He has three or four novels featuring Keller, a stamp collecting hit man. You can check out his site at: http://www.lawrenceblock.com/index_framesetfl.htm
