Start building up your collection from your country's stamps in a general way,and bit by bit.

Thanks for joining our friendly group. Let us know your collecting interests and any other questions you may have. Be sure to check out the post topic posts, they can be very helpful. A good way to start is to narrow down your choices via mint vs. used stamps, covers, country, topic, the choices are as vast & varied as there are collectors. Everyone collects their own way and that is all that matters. I prefer for fun & enjoyment rather than as an investment.

I started building my collection by telling family and friends. You'd be surprised what some folks can find to add to your collection. I even told my dentist office to cut stamps off of envelopes for me--they throw them away anyway, so why not save them.
Then , of course, there's very generous folks here that would like to pass along some stamps. As mentioned above--what countries do you collect??????????????
