Some of these pen canecled Agriculture stamps are a bit difficult. I think that this O2 imprint capture was re canceled with a pen, But what does it say? NWM 3/7?

Pretty sure that this O3 was purchased over the counter of the 3rd Assistant PMG's office as it still has full gum. Although the writing looks as though the stamp was affixed to something when written on. Any idea what this is?

I'm fairly confident that this was actually pen cancelled in used, hard to imagine someone paying face value for an O49, even early on in its use period, can anyone read the top?

Good Luck deciphering manuscript cancels on BOB material. It is someone's initials and the date and they are often completely illegible. Sometimes if you have the complete document you can figure it out, but without that even if you can read the initials it could be anyone. What leads you to believe it was cancelled by the 3rd assistant PMG?

I read the 1st one as "3/79" plus the initials of the canceller. Can't help on the other two.

The Official stamps were avaible to the public at the 3rd Asst PMG's office in Washington, DC while the stamps were valid, but the clerk had to cancel them, usually done with a pen.

The fact that the stamp still has full gum, as I mentioned.

The 3rd Assistant Post Master General office in Washington, DC was autherized to sell stamps to the public. The same office that sold all of the Special Printings.
