Hi guys...I need some help here..I am getting confused trying to identify this stamp..Hope some one can help...

Here is what I am reading in Scott.

#351.......perf. 12 horizontal.
#355.......wmk.191.
#355.......perf. 12 vertical.
#361.......perf. 12 bluish paper.
#378.......perf. 12 wmk 190.
#396.......perf. 8.5 horizontal.
#428.......perf. 10 wmk 190.
#447.......perf. 10 vertical

NOW..My stamp has perf. 11 vertical and perf. 11 horizontal..and is bluish paper colour...See pictures below...I lightened up the stamp colour to see the perforations better.
Can any one help...Thanks

You probably have Scott #504 (perf 11, unwatermarked), not the true "bluish paper" variety.

Hi Robert,

I agree with Dudley & Area66. The saying, "You can't judge a book by its cover" was never more appropriate when attempting to determine "BLUE PAPER" --especially on a blue stamp. This caused by plate wiping and smears. The color of the paper is not "blue" it is more of a "grayish" hue and that is determine by viewing the unprinted side.

I know some people recommend them, but using that style perforation gauge would kill me!

wert, if you're going to pencil numbers on the back of stamps (I don't recommend it,) PLEASE don't do it so heavily/large. That number will probably be impossible to completely remove. Some collectors only buy stamps with "clean" backs, and even for those who are more accepting, if you're relying on "someone [on the internet] telling you" what the number is, you'll almost certainly end up with lots of wrong numbers.

I hear you srailkb...I never sell stamps..NEVER..I am a stamp collector..But you do have a good point there..I will be more careful next time..Thanks
