As a scripophilist, I'm kind of sorry to see the locomotive vignette covered. Typically the revenues were added at the bottom or on the back of the certificate. The stamps are all common -- if it were mine I would probably soak or steam them off. Sacrilege, I know.

What's also interesting is that those shares of stock sold for $100 each. The stock certificate is in the amount of 105 shares, for a total investment of $10,500. That was an incredible amount of money back in 1898, as one inflation calculator suggests that it would be valued at more than $300,000 in today's dollars.
