St. Vincent & The Grenadines did a few of these in 2000 to
celebrate the Queen Mother's 100th birthday (I notice the
issue date was September 5th, my Father's birthday, as well.)
It is in the form of a photomosaic, and as the legend beneath
the portrait states, "Photomosaics is a method of arranging
thousands of tiny photographs that when viewed at a distance,
combine to form a single larger image. Robert Silvers invented
this technology while still a student at MIT and founded Runaway
Technology in 1994."

The Queen Mother's portrait was created using tiny photographs
of flowers. The souvenir sheet contains eight $1 stamps and is
Scott 2816. It measures approximately 6-1/4 X 9-1/2 inches.

Interesting S/S; I like the idea for the stamps being part of the larger mosaic. But, I have to say, I'm not crazy about the photomosaic -- maybe I'm too close to my monitor

Kirk, I have seen better somewhere, but don't remember where. Maybe in a graphic arts magazine years ago.

Try squinting , I've always found that to be the easiest way to visualize the complete picture

I've seen some cool ones for The Simpsons and Star Wars. I can't view Jayelem's picture at work. I'll have to KirkS's word as to which type of Face it looks like. I have never said that Lincoln was a good looking man, most portraits downplay the mole on his right cheek. It's kind of like Turk on Scrubs that grew a moustache to cover the mole on his upper lip. LOL

Hey everyone I'm still home but feeling better so I found this bit of trivia for you.

I think it's every 2 years that they create a carpet like this at the Grand Palace in Brussels. It's made of aprox 700,000 cut Begonias. I think it's just amazing. If you google flower carpet in Brussels you'll find lots more examples especially if you click on images.
