My what a bunch of hypocrital old collectors we turn out to be!

Back in March, this forum - indeed all of philately - was heaping praise on the astute collector who bought the uber-rare 5A-5A-5 strip of three in an
ebay auction! Who then flipped it for $30,000 at a Dutch Country Auction! I did not see any "Boy he really snookered that stupid seller" going on then. It was all congrats, and "wish I had caught that" and general "great find"-style comments.
Now we have a VERY SIMILAR event, but because the seller was informed of the possible rarity of their item and cancelled the sale - WITHIN HIS RIGHTS UNDER
ebay RULES - somehow, he's the villain? What the... ?????????
Nobody got ripped off here.
Nobody violated
ebay rules here or at least near as I can determine.
Nobody should be forced into "honoring the sale" here.
Grow up for goodness sake!
Bob - Welcome to the forum... I guess. Funny that Svengoolie had
Frankenstein last night and now I have discovered where the angry village mob disappeared to. Generally, we are a MUCH nicer bunch than how we appear here today.
